June 2026: Binti Product Features and Enhancements

June's release focused on making Family Finding workflows even more efficient, improving Genogram usability, simplifying licensing workflows, and giving workers greater flexibility when managing applications and training.

Here’s what’s new.

✨ New Features and Enhancements

Family Finding

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦Family Finding Just Got Faster

Launch Family Finding Searches in One Click

Workers can now start a Family Finding Search directly from the Children & Youth Dashboard. Selecting Open Family Finding Search automatically pre-populates the child, eliminating extra setup steps and helping workers begin searches more quickly.

Easier Connection Creation

Creating new people during Family Finding is now more intuitive. Create New Connection and Intake Child or Youth options are always available in search dropdowns, so workers no longer need to type three characters before accessing these actions.

More Powerful PKOS Experience

We've continued investing in the Potential Kin Online Search (PKOS) workflow with several usability improvements:

  • Save and revisit previous PKOS searches without rerunning comprehensive searches
  • Return to saved Person Reports even after external report links expire
  • View counts for Potential Relatives and Potential Fictive Kin directly on search results
  • Filter potential kin by relationship type, degree of relation, name, address, phone number, and email
  • Navigate throughout the PKOS workflow using consistent breadcrumbs back to the child record
  • Review audit reports without time-limited search links

Together, these updates make it easier to pause and resume Family Finding work while reviewing large search results more efficiently.

🧬 A Better Genogram Experience

We've made significant improvements to help workers navigate complex family structures.

Easier to View Large Family Trees

Large Genograms now support greater zoom-out capability and can be opened in a dedicated full-screen view, making it much easier to review extensive family networks.

Full-Screen Editing & Navigation

The new full-screen Genogram now supports the same relationship details and actions available from the embedded view, allowing workers to edit relationships, launch PKOS searches, and record contacts without leaving full-screen mode.

Cleaner, More Readable Layouts

We also improved Genogram readability by:

  • Optimizing Fictive Kin layouts for large networks
  • Ensuring parent-child relationship lines display consistently for all users
  • Improving downloadable Genogram images so complete diagrams export without clipping

Licensing

🏡 Licensing & Provider Management

Placement Holds Now Include History

Workers can now review historical placement holds directly from Licensing applications, providing better visibility into previous hold activity and reasons over time.

Provider IDs Across More Workflows

We've continued expanding Provider ID support across Licensing.

Workers can now:

  • View and edit Provider IDs directly from the Care Provider Profile
  • Search dashboards using Provider ID
  • Enter Provider IDs during the New Intake process

Smarter Recruiter Assignment During Transfers

When applications are transferred between agencies, the receiving agency's default recruiter is now automatically assigned and receives a transfer-specific notification email, ensuring new families are routed quickly to the appropriate worker.

📚 More Flexible Training Management

Training completion is now easier to manage across multiple renewal periods.

Workers can select which renewal requirement a completed training should satisfy using a new Training Period field when recording eligible training. This provides greater flexibility instead of always applying training hours to the oldest outstanding requirement.

📋 Service Referral Management Improvements

We continued enhancing Service Referral workflows with several quality-of-life improvements.

Highlights include:

  • Automatic child recipient selection when launching a Service Referral from a child's dashboard
  • Smarter recipient selection that limits Associated Children to those connected to the selected case
  • Worker, Supervisor, and Approver dropdowns now display email addresses to help distinguish users with similar names

✨ Additional Improvements

Additional enhancements this month include:

  • Copy Button for Forms: Free-text form responses now include a one-click Copy button for faster reuse.
  • Expandable Long Lists: Long lists of aliases, phone numbers, addresses, emails, and social media links now use a "See More" experience for cleaner pages.
  • Community Families: Public agencies will now see the Community Families label instead of County Families on Placement Options and Matching Families dashboards.
  • Language Support: Added Karen as a selectable Primary and Additional Language option.
  • Congregate Care Reporting: Staff Roster and Staff Requirements pages now support CSV exports and provide additional provider context.

💡 In Summary

These updates continue our focus on reducing clicks, improving navigation, and giving workers faster access to the information they need most.

May 2026: Binti Product Features and Enhancements

This month’s updates focused on helping workers move faster, improving Family Finding workflows, expanding Service Referral Management flexibility, and creating more structured, actionable data across the platform.

Here’s what’s new.

✨ New Features and Enhancements

Licensing

  • Placement Holds from Licensing Workflows

Licensing workers can now create and manage placement holds directly from the Caregiver Applications Dashboard. Holds display directly on caregiver records and can be edited or removed as statuses change.

*Note: Configuration needed. Please reach out to your Customer Success Manager for more information.

  • Address Requirements During Intake

Agencies can now configure whether addresses are required during the intake process for a new prospective caregiver.

*Note: Configuration needed. Please reach out to your Customer Success Manager for more information.

AI & Transcription

  • Structured AI-Generated Case Notes

AI-generated Case Notes are now automatically organized into structured summaries with headings and logical sections, making notes easier to review while still preserving access to the original transcript.

Placements

  • Configurable Hold Reasons

Placement holds now support standardized, configurable Hold Reasons in addition to freeform details, improving reporting consistency and placement visibility.

  • Placement Search Reminder Emails

Custodial Agencies can now send reminder notifications directly to Partner Agencies on open placement searches, helping reduce duplicate searches and making follow-up communication easier.

Service Referral Management

  • Structured SRM Case Linking

Service Referrals can now be formally connected to SRM Cases using a searchable Case ID dropdown instead of a free-text field. This creates more accurate case-to-referral tracking and supports future workflow automation.

  • Case-Based Service Recipient Selection

When a Case is selected on a Service Referral, the Service Recipient list now automatically limits options to people associated with that case, improving referral accuracy and consistency.

  • Improved Service Record CSV Exports

Service Record CSV exports now include a Units Billed Type column, making billing exports easier to interpret across different unit types like Sessions, Hours, Miles, and Flat Fees.

Family Finding

  • Launch Family Finding Searches Faster

Workers can now launch a new Family Finding Search directly from the Children & Youth Dashboard. Child information is automatically prefilled, making it quicker to begin searches and outreach workflows.

  • Smarter Family Finding Search Filters

New quick filters make it easier for workers and supervisors to focus on the searches most relevant to them:

  • My Searches
  • My Team’s Searches
  • All Searches

  • Improved PKOS Search Workflow

We updated the PKOS Search experience to make next steps more intuitive. A new Run Comprehensive Search action is now more prominently displayed, while connection actions adapt based on search status to better guide worker workflows.

  • Enhanced CLEAR Search Associations

CLEAR-powered searches now support expanded association types including shared addresses, phone numbers, business relationships, possible spouses, and shared vehicles. These updates help surface richer potential connection data while keeping results focused and relevant.

  • Better Genogram Navigation for Large Families

Large family trees are now easier to review directly within Binti. We expanded zoom-out capabilities and added the ability to open Genograms in a separate page for improved navigation and visibility.

💡 In Summary

These updates continue our focus on helping agencies work more efficiently while improving visibility, navigation, and structured data management across the platform.

April 2026: Binti Product Features and Enhancements

April’s updates focused on improving accessibility, strengthening multi-license workflows, enhancing reporting visibility, and expanding automation capabilities across the platform.

These enhancements help users navigate complex workflows more clearly while improving consistency and flexibility across applications and agency operations

Here’s what’s new.

✨ New Features and Enhancements

Licensing

  • Training Tracks by Application

Training tracks are now tied directly to applications instead of user profiles, giving agencies greater flexibility across multi-license workflows. Applicants can now have different training tracks on different licenses while preserving training assignments during role changes.

  • Date-Based Custom Fields

Agencies can now create custom fields specifically for dates across supported models such as Licenses and Agency Humans, making it easier to track important deadlines and milestones.

  • Improved Document Renaming

Renaming attachments is now more intuitive. Existing filenames automatically populate in the edit field, clearer actions replace confusing icons, and accidental deletions are easier to avoid.

  • Agency Email Controls

Agencies can now pause all outgoing emails directly from Global Settings, helping teams manage onboarding, migrations, or operational transitions without unintended notifications being sent.

  • “Applying” Status Notifications

Agencies can now notify applicants when their application officially enters the “Applying” stage, providing more flexibility and accuracy in applicant communications.

  • Expanded Guidance for Key Application Fields

We added clearer descriptions and expanded terminology for ICPC, Tribal Identification, and ICWA-related fields to provide additional context during application workflows.

  • Expanded License Visibility in Background Check Reporting

Background Check reports now include license information directly within reports and exports, helping teams more easily understand which applications background checks are tied to.

AI & Transcription

  • Smarter AI Language Detection

The form-fill AI can now better infer an applicant’s preferred language from conversation transcripts, improving accuracy while avoiding assumptions based on uploaded documents.

  • Cleaner Live Transcription Alerts

Live Transcription now displays clearer and less repetitive audio warnings, reducing unnecessary notifications during sessions.

  • Search Call Logs by Contact Email

Workers can now quickly locate outreach history using a provider or caregiver’s email address. The new Contact Email filter supports full or partial email matches, making it easier to track communication across families and providers.

Placements

  • Search Call Logs by Contact Email

Workers can now quickly locate outreach history using a provider or caregiver’s email address. The new Contact Email filter supports full or partial email matches, making it easier to track communication across families and providers.

Service Referral Management

  • Editable Service Contract Amounts

Fiscal admins can now update Service Contract amounts even after Service Records have been created. Changes automatically apply to associated unlocked records and future billing, reducing the need for manual support intervention while improving billing accuracy and transparency.

  • Referral ID Search

Service Referrals can now be searched directly by Referral ID. The dashboard also now prioritizes Referral ID visibility, helping users locate referrals faster and more accurately.

Family Finding

  • Address “Last Reported” Visibility

Address records in Bulk Outreach and Connection profiles now display when the address was last reported, helping workers better assess address recency before sending outreach communications

🔧 Fixes

Licensing

  • Improved Multi-License Validation

Resolved an issue where duplicate licenses could be created while another license of the same type was already in renewal. Validation now correctly prevents duplicate active licenses.

  • Training Track Assignment During Intake

Resolved an issue where default training tracks were not always applied during Intake Care Provider workflows.

  • Approval Worker Document Access

Resolved an issue where approval workers could lose access to documents after applicant/co-applicant role changes during renewal workflows.

  • More Accurate Partner Agency Assignments

Applications now correctly reflect only active partner agency assignments, improving visibility and reducing confusion across cross-agency workflows.

  • Improved Background Check Notice Logic

Background Check notices now more reliably detect relevant checks across licenses while avoiding unnecessary alerts.

  • Clearer Application History Labels

Application History now consistently uses “Additional Requirement” terminology and displays associated requirement titles for improved audit visibility.

  • Enhanced Person Search

Person search now works regardless of first/last name order, better supports punctuation, and includes improved result loading for large datasets.

AI & Transcription

  • Improved File Upload Validation

Unsupported temporary file types are now blocked from upload workflows, improving reliability and preventing unusable files from being submitted.

Family Finding

  • Improved Genogram Family Connections

Resolved an issue where grandparents and other family members could appear disconnected in the Genogram view. Family relationship lines now display more accurately, helping workers visualize complete family structures.

💡 In Summary

April’s updates focused on improving how users navigate, search, validate, and manage information across the platform.

From stronger accessibility support and smarter AI workflows to clearer reporting and improved multi-license handling, these enhancements continue to support a more intuitive and reliable experience for agencies and applicants alike.

  • Person Profile Access Fix
Previously, access to Person Profiles varied across roles. Now, permissions are aligned so users can access profiles appropriately based on their role.

Previously, submitting without selecting a tribe could appear unresponsive. Now, users receive a clear message indicating what is required.

Family Finding & Engagement

  • Bulk Outreach Letter Formatting Fix
Previously, printed letters could include extra pages or formatting inconsistencies. Now, preview, print, and PDF outputs align cleanly.

Placements and Care Management

❄️✨ Winter Wins: December 2025 & January 2026 Product Updates

As we wrapped up 2025 and stepped into 2026, our team delivered a wide set of enhancements and fixes focused on clarity, efficiency, and better support for workers’ day-to-day practice. These updates span Family Finding, Service Referrals, Licensing, AI & Transcription, and overall usability improvements.

Here’s what’s new.

✨ New Features and Enhancements

AI & Transcription

We have expanded AI-powered transcription and form support to give agencies more control, clearer entry points, and smoother workflows for narrative-heavy documentation.

  • Clearer access to AI transcription

We have added more visible entry points to AI transcription in the Binti header. Instead of relying on the firework icon alone, users will now see a labeled button such as “Try AI” or “Fill Forms,” depending on configuration.

  • Start AI transcription directly from Case Notes

Workers can now initiate AI-powered transcription directly from Case Notes, making it easier to capture conversations and turn them into documentation without switching workflows.

  • New “Fill with AI” button on psychosocial forms

Psychosocial forms such as home studies and family evaluations now include a “Fill with AI” button (highlighted in Binti’s purple AI gradient). When selected, the transcription workflow launches with key details pre-filled:

  • The caregiver associated with the form is automatically selected
  • The psychosocial form you started from is preselected
  • This streamlines narrative-heavy form completion and reduces manual effort.
  • More control over AI-assisted form completion

Agencies now have more flexibility over how AI supports form completion. For selected forms, specific questions can be excluded from AI assistance, and behind-the-scenes guidance can be provided to help AI complete other sections accurately. This ensures AI support aligns with agency preferences while keeping sensitive or judgment-based questions worker-led.

Family Finding

  • Date of Death surfaced in PKOS results

When available, Date of Death is now visible directly in the preview panel of Potential Kin search results. This helps workers make informed decisions without needing to open additional profiles or rerun searches. If no date is reported, the field is hidden.

  • Real-Time Incarceration Arrest (RTIA) results enabled in comprehensive searches

RTIA results are now displayed in the Potential Kin Online Search comprehensive search view and included in downloadable comprehensive reports, giving workers access to a fuller picture in one place.

  • Improved Family Finding search exports

The Family Finding Searches CSV now includes Reason for Closure and Closure Details, making it easier to review outcomes for closed searches without navigating back into the UI.

  • Clearer search status visibility

In the “All” tab of the Family Finding Searches dashboard, the Status column has been replaced with Reason for Closure. Open searches are indicated by the absence of an end date, reducing redundancy and improving clarity.

  • Improved line spacing for Bulk Outreach letters

To ensure Bulk Outreach letters, like Relative Notification Letters, remain a single page, we have updated the line spacing. The default font is now 9pt (user-adjustable), and line spacing is consistently set to 1.25. This is a temporary enhancement, with further improvements scheduled.

Licensing

  • Clearer license status during renewals

When a provider is actively licensed and in the renewal process, the License Status now displays as Licensed, avoiding confusion caused by backend application statuses.

  • Multi-license clarity in background checks

Background check logs now display template lineage as subtext, helping workers understand which license or application they’re reviewing in multi-license households.

  • Cleaner document actions

The “Regenerate completed form” link has been renamed to “Recover PDF of completed form” and now only appears when appropriate, avoiding unnecessary actions when signed PDFs already exist.

  • Co-applicant consistency across licenses

When a co-applicant is added to a renewal, they are now automatically reflected on other active applications in the household (excluding previously approved licenses).

  • Phone number access across agencies

Workers at target agencies can now view and edit applicant phone numbers for source agency applications, as long as they have permission to view or edit application data.

Service Referrals & Notifications

  • New referral notifications

Workers can now receive email notifications when:

  • A referral they’re assigned to is accepted
  • A referral they’re assigned to is rejected
  • New service records are added to a referral

Notifications are sent only to users assigned to the referral and only if the user has the notification enabled in My Account.

  • Keyboard-friendly filtering

Filters on Service Referrals and Providers dashboards now apply when pressing Enter or Return, making filtering faster and more intuitive.

  • Clearer service contract display

The Service Records table now correctly displays the Service Contract name (instead of the Service name), with the contract ID shown as subtext when available.

  • Backdating acceptance permissions fixed

Users with permission to accept agency service referrals can now backdate acceptance dates. For users without this permission, edit controls are hidden to avoid confusion.

🛠️ Quality Improvements

  • Browser support clarity

A new public browser support page lists supported browsers, shows the user’s current browser status, and provides direct update links. This page is accessible from the footer for easy troubleshooting.

As always, thank you for your partnership and feedback. These updates are shaped directly by how you use Binti every day, and we’re excited to continue improving the platform together.

November 2025 Binti Features and Enhancements

We are  excited to share a packed month of product updates designed to improve efficiency, streamline workflows, and make Binti even easier to use across Licensing, Family Finding, and more. Read on for all the latest improvements!

✨ New Features and Enhancements

Licensing

  • Worker Signature Notifications - Workers now receive automated notifications requiring their signatures on Licensing forms, which facilitates the timely completion of necessary documentation.

  • Retitled “External Identifier” to “Person ID” - To reduce confusion and keep terminology consistent, the “External Identifier” field has been relabeled as Person ID throughout the product.
  • Person ID Now Visible and Editable - Agencies can now view and update the Person ID directly on the Person Profile.
  • Inline File Renaming for Licensing & Caregiver Management Module Users - Users are now able to rename files directly from the Documents page, eliminating the need for downloading or re-uploading.

  • Custom Fields on Person & Licensing Pages - Agencies using Custom Fields can now add unique, agency-specific fields directly to the Person Profile and License pages. These fields support multiple formats (checkbox, yes/no, single-select), making it easier to tailor Binti to local workflows

AI & Transcription

  • “Fill with AI” Button for Psychosocial Forms - Workers can now launch AI Transcription directly from psychosocial forms using the new Fill with AI button. The workflow automatically preselects the correct caregiver and form, saving time and reducing setup steps.

  • Standardized AI Visual Design - All AI-related elements now use a consistent, accessible purple/blue gradient, replacing older orange/red indicators. This includes buttons, notices, animations, and header accents for a cleaner and more cohesive experience.

Family Finding & Engagement

  • Ability to Review PKOS Search Parameters Before Launch - Users are now directed to a dedicated Search Parameters page upon initiation, rather than immediately executing the search. This new step allows users to modify or eliminate search fields prior to launching the PKOS search, thereby facilitating broader results and mitigating the risk of over-filtering.

  • Improved Worker Assignment Filter - The Worker Assignment dropdown in the Family Find Searches Dashboard now supports multi-select and autocomplete, making it easier to locate the right staff.
  • Addresses Now Sorted From Most Recent to Oldest - To match Potential Kin Online Search (PKOS) and improve readability, addresses on the Person Profile now display with the most recent address at the top.

🔧 Fixes

Licensing

  • Additional Requirements Only Appear When Added - 'Additional Requirements' on the Documents page now only display when a worker explicitly requests them, preventing automatic population.
  • PDF of All Documents Always Shows the Most Recent Version - A backend issue causing multiple active PDFs to appear was resolved. Now, regenerating the PDF always replaces older versions and shows the correct timestamp.
  • Co-Applicant Signature Issue Resolved - A scenario affecting co-applicants who had previously undergone a role change (e.g., transitioning from "Other Adult" to "Co-Applicant") resulted in signature errors on certain forms. This issue has been resolved, and signatures now save correctly.

If you have questions or feedback about any of these updates, reach out to your Customer Success Team. There are even more exciting improvements on the way next month!

October 2025 Binti Features and Enhancements

This month’s updates focus on improving navigation, strengthening Agency Relationship (AR) permissions, enhancing AI transcription accuracy, and polishing the Placement Options and Mapping experience. Read on for all the latest improvements!

✨ New Features and Enhancements

Licensing

  • Easier Access to License Information - Workers can now access license details directly from the Applicant Data page.

A new License Information button has been added to the bottom navigation bar, providing a faster, more intuitive way to open the License page.

AI & Transcription

  • Speaker Labeling Added - AI-generated transcripts now identify speakers whenever possible. For example:

“Joe: I grew up in England.”

This makes transcripts easier to read and helps workers quickly understand who said what.

  • Improved Accuracy Using Household Context - Previously, the AI did not have prior knowledge of who lived in the household, which meant it relied solely on the conversation for context.

Now, AI transcription incorporates household details to better understand each person referenced during interviews or calls. This enhancement helps the AI more consistently attribute answers to the correct household members, resulting in clearer, more reliable transcripts for workers.

Placements & Caregiver Management Module

  • Improved Placement Options View - When a custodial agency only has View Placement Providers permission (but not edit access), non-permitted links will now appear greyed out or hidden, preventing confusion and avoiding unnecessary permission error messages.
  • Congregate Care Facilities Now Display as Approved Homes - Group Homes now appear as approved homes on Map View within Placement Options and View Matching Families. They display as blue pins, clearly marked with their placement type.
  • Updated Pin Designs in Family Map - All Family Map pins have been refreshed with new, modern styles.
While colors remain consistent across placement types (e.g., Families, Congregate Care Facilities, Private Agencies), the redesigned pins offer improved clarity and visual distinction.

Family Finding & Engagement

Expanded CLEAR API Search Results - We’ve updated our CLEAR configuration to return a more complete list of relatives and associates when running a Potential Kin Online Search.

A previously disabled field now set to “true” broadens and improves kin connection results.

🔧 Fixes

Licensing

  • Missing Other/Misc Documents Section Restored - The Other/Misc Documents section now appears as expected on Out-of-County Sending applications when Caregiver Documents 2.0 is enabled.

Placements & Caregiver Management Module

Rename Files Instantly ✏️

We know keeping documents organized is key to your work, especially when families upload files with names like IMG241.jpg or when you want to follow your agency’s naming conventions. Now, you can easily rename any file right from the Documents page in Binti!

With this update, once a file has been uploaded or automatically created from a completed form, you’ll see a small pencil icon next to its name. Just click the pencil, type the new name, and hit the checkmark to save. No need to download, rename, and re-upload. It’s all done in seconds!

This makes it easier to quickly identify files, keep things consistent across your team, and spend less time managing attachments and more time supporting families.

A few helpful notes:

  • If you have permission to upload documents, you can also edit their names.
  • You don’t need to include the file extension when renaming (like .pdf or .jpg).
  • This applies to all document types: applicant forms, agency forms, reference forms, other adult forms, and other/misc files.

A new change, but one that helps keep your documentation neat and your workflow smoother, because every minute counts in the work you do. 💙
