March 2026: Binti Product Features and Enhancements

March brought updates focused on improving usability, strengthening data consistency, and enhancing everyday workflows across the platform. These changes support a smoother experience and clearer interactions for users across key areas.

Here’s what’s new.

✨ New Features and Enhancements

Licensing

  • Phone Number Consistency Across the Platform

Previously, phone number updates could appear differently across pages. Now, updates sync consistently across Applicant Data, profiles, placements, and intake workflows.

  • Other Adult Data Privacy Improvements
Previously, updates could overwrite applicant-entered information. Now, applicant-provided details remain unchanged while agency workers can maintain separate internal records.
  • Universal Search Improvements
Previously, large result sets could be harder to navigate. Now, filters, pagination, and an increased default result size make results easier to review.
  • Conditional Requirements UI Improvements
Previously, the “Add Additional Requirement” button appeared even when not applicable. Now, it only displays when relevant, providing clearer guidance.

Family Finding

  • Bulk Outreach: Improved Missing Information Messaging
Previously, users had limited guidance when recipient information was incomplete. Now, clearer messaging indicates when addresses or emails are missing and provides next steps.
  • Bulk Outreach: Improved Navigation for Address Updates
Previously, updating an address could interrupt the outreach workflow. Now, users can edit a recipient’s profile and return directly to the same step with updates preserved.

Service Referral Management

  • Service Referrals Dashboard Enhancements
Previously, referral timelines were less visible and harder to organize. Now, users can view Start and End Date columns, sort by date, and filter by date ranges.
  • Service Contract Simplification
Previously, users could manually enter Fee Per Service values, which could vary. Now, the field is removed and defaults to a consistent value, simplifying setup.

🛠️ Quality Improvements

  • Accessibility Improvements (Add Respite Form)
Previously, error states were not fully accessible to screen readers. Now, validation includes ARIA attributes and descriptive messaging for improved accessibility.

🔧 Fixes

Licensing

  • API Phone Number Sync Fix
Previously, phone numbers from API-created applications appeared only in some views. Now, they display consistently across both user and agency records.
  • License Creation Validation (Estimated DOB)
Previously, users could proceed without clear guidance when a child had an estimated date of birth. Now, a clear message explains the requirement before continuing.
  • Duplicate Expiration Email Fix
Previously, users could receive multiple reminders for the same document. Now, notifications are sent once per reminder interval as expected.
  • Person Profile Access Fix
Previously, access to Person Profiles varied across roles. Now, permissions are aligned so users can access profiles appropriately based on their role.
  • Tribe Selection Validation Fix
Previously, submitting without selecting a tribe could appear unresponsive. Now, users receive a clear message indicating what is required.

Family Finding & Engagement

  • Bulk Outreach Letter Formatting Fix
Previously, printed letters could include extra pages or formatting inconsistencies. Now, preview, print, and PDF outputs align cleanly.

Placements and Care Management

  • Cross-Agency Document Visibility Fix
Previously, some partner agency documents were not visible to authorized users. Now, documents display consistently based on permissions.
  • Form Pre-Population Fix
Previously, certain forms could fail to load when pre-population was enabled. Now, forms load correctly while still supporting data from prior submissions.

Service Referral Management

  • Date Validation Fix
Previously, validation messages could remain after correcting a date. Now, validation updates immediately once the input is corrected.

March’s updates focused on enhancing clarity, consistency, and usability across key workflows.

These improvements help ensure information is accurate, accessible, and easy to work with, while supporting a more seamless experience across the platform.

February 2026: Binti Product Features and Enhancements

February brought a powerful mix of behind-the-scenes fixes and experience upgrades designed to make your workflows smoother, clearer, and more reliable. From reporting accuracy to bulk outreach improvements and smarter search tools, these updates are all about reducing friction and increasing confidence in your day-to-day work.

Here's what's new.

✨ New Features and Enhancements

Licensing

  • Recruitment Sources Report (In-App Graph)
Previously, users had to download the CSV to view data trends. Now, the bar graph displays directly in-app and aligns with export data.
  • Centralized Household Management
Previously, Children in Home and Other Adults were managed in multiple places. Now, all updates happen in the Care Provider Profile.
  • Improved Application Data Handling (Renewals)
Previously, role changes could cause missing data. Now, applicant/co-applicant history is preserved accurately.
  • Cross-Application Background Check Visibility
Previously, checks on other licenses were not visible. Now, users can see and navigate to them easily.

Family Finding & Engagement

  • Expanded Degree of Relation Controls
Previously, search scope was less flexible. Now, users can include 2nd and 3rd degree relations via clear checkbox options.

  • Agency & Worker Filters (Audit Trail)
Previously, filtering was limited and manual. Now, dynamic auto-fill filters make it faster and more precise to find records.
  • Potential Online Search (PKOS) Audit Trail – Degrees of Relation
Previously, selected relation criteria were not visible in reports. Now, Audit Trails include 2nd and 3rd degree selections for better transparency.
  • Email Visibility from CLEAR Searches
Previously, emails appeared only in PDFs and were not usable. Now, emails display in the UI and carry through to linked profiles.
  • Improved Search Summaries (Expandable Lists)
Previously, long lists cluttered the page. Now, results show a preview with “See more / See less” for better usability.
  • PKOS Excel Print Formatting
Previously, reports were compressed to fit one page, reducing readability. Now, vertical scaling is removed for clearer printed reports.
  • Bulk Outreach: Sibling Group
Previously, outreach had to be sent per child. Now, users can send one communication for an entire sibling group and contact logs are automatically created for each child.
  • Bulk Outreach: Standardized Letter Margins
Previously, printed margins differed from preview. Now, margins are consistent across preview, print, and PDF (max 0.5”).

AI & Transcription

  • Live Transcript Preview
Previously, users couldn’t confirm transcription in real time. Now, a live transcript displays as users speak.

  • Recording Guidance & Troubleshooting
Previously, challenges were discovered after recording. Now, prompts help users identify and fix issues in real time.
  • Expanded File Upload Limits
Previously limited to 24MB, requiring file splitting. Now supports uploads up to 5GB.

Service Referral & Prevention

  • FFPSA Eligibility – Start Date
Previously, only expiration dates were tracked. Now, Start Date is included with validation for better timeline tracking.
  • Service Contract Display Formatting
Previously, text sizes and layout were inconsistent. Now, formatting is standardized for clearer readability.
  • “Recipient” Filter Label Update
Previously labeled “Child Name,” which was limiting. Now updated to “Recipient” to reflect broader use cases.
  • Expanded Referral Notifications
Previously, only assigned workers were notified. Now, supervisors and approvers are included for better visibility.
  • FFPSA Eligibility Enhancements
Previously lacked structured timeline validation. Now includes Start Date and validation to ensure accurate date ranges.

🛠️ Fixes

Family Finding & Engagement

  • Phone Number Validation Fix
Previously, removing “+1” caused persistent errors. Now, validation resets correctly when re-entered.
  • Bulk Outreach: Blank Page Removal in Letters
Previously, extra pages appeared in outputs. Now, letters generate cleanly without gaps.

Service Referral & Prevention

  • Fee Per Service Validation Fix
Previously allowed negative values and incorrect rounding. Now, inputs are properly validated and calculations are accurate.
  • Area of Coverage Filtering Fix
Previously impacted Service Contracts incorrectly. Now, filtering only affects relevant fields and preserves valid selections.

💡 In Summary

This month’s updates sharpen both sides of the experience:
Enhancements bring more control, visibility, and flexibility, while fixes ensure everything works exactly as expected with no surprises and no workarounds.

❄️✨ Winter Wins: December 2025 & January 2026 Product Updates

As we wrapped up 2025 and stepped into 2026, our team delivered a wide set of enhancements and fixes focused on clarity, efficiency, and better support for workers’ day-to-day practice. These updates span Family Finding, Service Referrals, Licensing, AI & Transcription, and overall usability improvements.

Here’s what’s new.

✨ New Features and Enhancements

AI & Transcription

We have expanded AI-powered transcription and form support to give agencies more control, clearer entry points, and smoother workflows for narrative-heavy documentation.

  • Clearer access to AI transcription

We have added more visible entry points to AI transcription in the Binti header. Instead of relying on the firework icon alone, users will now see a labeled button such as “Try AI” or “Fill Forms,” depending on configuration.

  • Start AI transcription directly from Case Notes

Workers can now initiate AI-powered transcription directly from Case Notes, making it easier to capture conversations and turn them into documentation without switching workflows.

  • New “Fill with AI” button on psychosocial forms

Psychosocial forms such as home studies and family evaluations now include a “Fill with AI” button (highlighted in Binti’s purple AI gradient). When selected, the transcription workflow launches with key details pre-filled:

  • The caregiver associated with the form is automatically selected
  • The psychosocial form you started from is preselected
  • This streamlines narrative-heavy form completion and reduces manual effort.
  • More control over AI-assisted form completion

Agencies now have more flexibility over how AI supports form completion. For selected forms, specific questions can be excluded from AI assistance, and behind-the-scenes guidance can be provided to help AI complete other sections accurately. This ensures AI support aligns with agency preferences while keeping sensitive or judgment-based questions worker-led.

Family Finding

  • Date of Death surfaced in PKOS results

When available, Date of Death is now visible directly in the preview panel of Potential Kin search results. This helps workers make informed decisions without needing to open additional profiles or rerun searches. If no date is reported, the field is hidden.

  • Real-Time Incarceration Arrest (RTIA) results enabled in comprehensive searches

RTIA results are now displayed in the Potential Kin Online Search comprehensive search view and included in downloadable comprehensive reports, giving workers access to a fuller picture in one place.

  • Improved Family Finding search exports

The Family Finding Searches CSV now includes Reason for Closure and Closure Details, making it easier to review outcomes for closed searches without navigating back into the UI.

  • Clearer search status visibility

In the “All” tab of the Family Finding Searches dashboard, the Status column has been replaced with Reason for Closure. Open searches are indicated by the absence of an end date, reducing redundancy and improving clarity.

  • Improved line spacing for Bulk Outreach letters

To ensure Bulk Outreach letters, like Relative Notification Letters, remain a single page, we have updated the line spacing. The default font is now 9pt (user-adjustable), and line spacing is consistently set to 1.25. This is a temporary enhancement, with further improvements scheduled.

Licensing

  • Clearer license status during renewals

When a provider is actively licensed and in the renewal process, the License Status now displays as Licensed, avoiding confusion caused by backend application statuses.

  • Multi-license clarity in background checks

Background check logs now display template lineage as subtext, helping workers understand which license or application they’re reviewing in multi-license households.

  • Cleaner document actions

The “Regenerate completed form” link has been renamed to “Recover PDF of completed form” and now only appears when appropriate, avoiding unnecessary actions when signed PDFs already exist.

  • Co-applicant consistency across licenses

When a co-applicant is added to a renewal, they are now automatically reflected on other active applications in the household (excluding previously approved licenses).

  • Phone number access across agencies

Workers at target agencies can now view and edit applicant phone numbers for source agency applications, as long as they have permission to view or edit application data.

Service Referrals & Notifications

  • New referral notifications

Workers can now receive email notifications when:

  • A referral they’re assigned to is accepted
  • A referral they’re assigned to is rejected
  • New service records are added to a referral

Notifications are sent only to users assigned to the referral and only if the user has the notification enabled in My Account.

  • Keyboard-friendly filtering

Filters on Service Referrals and Providers dashboards now apply when pressing Enter or Return, making filtering faster and more intuitive.

  • Clearer service contract display

The Service Records table now correctly displays the Service Contract name (instead of the Service name), with the contract ID shown as subtext when available.

  • Backdating acceptance permissions fixed

Users with permission to accept agency service referrals can now backdate acceptance dates. For users without this permission, edit controls are hidden to avoid confusion.

🛠️ Quality Improvements

  • Browser support clarity

A new public browser support page lists supported browsers, shows the user’s current browser status, and provides direct update links. This page is accessible from the footer for easy troubleshooting.

As always, thank you for your partnership and feedback. These updates are shaped directly by how you use Binti every day, and we’re excited to continue improving the platform together.
