July brought several enhancements focused on improving worker efficiency, data quality, and day-to-day usability across modules. From a redesigned Child Requirements experience to expanded Family Finding capabilities and improved staff management, these updates are designed to make everyday workflows more intuitive, surface the right information at the right time, and give teams more flexibility in how they get their work done.

Placements and Care Management

📋 A Better Child Requirements Experience

We've redesigned the Child Requirements page to help workers focus on the work that matters most.

What's new:

• New Incomplete, Complete, and All tabs for easier navigation.
• The default view now prioritizes upcoming incomplete requirements.
• Completed requirements are organized by the most recently completed.
• Added quick due date filters, along with filters for completed and waived requirements.

These improvements make it faster to find, prioritize, and manage child requirements throughout the licensing process.

📅 Flexible Due Dates for Recurring Child Requirements

Recurring child requirements can now be configured with Floating Due Dates, allowing future due dates to be based on when the previous requirement was completed instead of a fixed calendar date.

This is especially helpful for agencies whose recurring activities don't always occur on the same date each year.

Licensing

👥 Restore Former Staff with One Click

Managing staff just became easier.

Former staff members can now be restored directly from the Staff Roster, preserving their history while returning them to active status.

This enhancement:

• Restores staff with a single action.
• Automatically updates roster counts.
• Records the change in Staff History.
• Prevents restoring someone who already has an active staff role.

📝 Configurable Race, Ethnicity & ICWA Requirements

Agencies can now require Race, Ethnicity, and ICWA information before an application can be approved.

When enabled:

• Validation applies across all household members.
• Workers receive clear guidance when required information is missing.
• Agencies can improve data quality and support downstream integrations.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Person Profiles

Authorized users will also see a confidential case banner directly on the Person Profile, providing additional visibility when working with individuals connected to confidential cases.

Together, these enhancements improve awareness of confidential records while ensuring information remains visible only to users with appropriate permissions.

📄 Smarter Exemption Form Pre-Population

We've improved how exemption-related information is pre-populated throughout Binti.

Forms now more accurately identify approved, denied, and requested exemptions—including exemptions that cover multiple background checks—helping reduce duplicate data entry while improving accuracy during form completion.

Family Finding

⬆️ More Connections Per Search

The maximum number of connections that can be added from a PKOS search has increased from 200 to 300, making it easier to manage large family networks without repeating searches.

🔔New Family Finding Search Assignment Notifications

Workers can now receive an email notification whenever they're assigned a Family Finding Search.

What's new:

• Added a new notification preference that allows workers to choose whether they'd like to receive Family Finding Search assignment emails.
• Workers are now notified when a new Family Finding Search is assigned to them.
• Creates a more consistent assignment experience across Binti workflows.

This enhancement helps ensure workers are aware of new assignments so they can begin follow-up more quickly.

⌨️ Improved Keyboard Accessibility

Keyboard users can now simply press Enter to confirm PKOS searches, comprehensive reports, and extended searches, creating a faster and more accessible workflow.

🧬  More Accurate Genogram Relationship Mapping

We've enhanced Genogram relationship rendering to better represent today's diverse family structures.

What's new:

• Improved support for non-binary and compound parental relationships.
• Increased consistency when displaying parent, sibling, and ascendant relationships.
• More accurate relationship mapping across complex family structures.

These improvements provide a more reliable and inclusive visualization of family relationships, helping workers better understand and document important family connections.

We've added new visual indicators to help authorized users quickly identify confidential cases.

🔐Connections Dashboard

Connections associated with confidential cases now display a "(Confidential)" label, making it easier for authorized workers to recognize confidential records while protecting sensitive information.
