Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) for Agency Workers

Data security is a priority at Binti. We are excited to introduce a new way to help protect your data: Multi-factor authentication (MFA) at login for agency workers.

MFA helps protect user accounts from unauthorized access by requiring a unique code during the login process. This makes it more difficult for attackers to gain access to accounts, even if they have obtained a password. Binti can deliver unique codes to a work email address or cell phone. At this time, MFA is enabled agency-wide, meaning that all agency workers are required to use it once activated.

Please note that Binti continues to offer support for Single Sign-On (SSO). Due to the increased security that it provides, we prioritize enabling SSO over MFA when possible. SSO and MFA cannot be used simultaneously.

Enhanced Placement Outcome Tracking

Tracking placement outcomes is crucial. We have received valuable feedback regarding the situations you encounter on a daily basis when it comes to placing children. In response, we have revamped the process of ending a placement to capture three specific data points:

  1. Where did the child move?
  2. Who requested the change of placement?
  3. Why was the change requested?

With the introduction of this new interface, we have expanded the list of options for why a placement is ending. This allows for a more comprehensive understanding of the circumstances surrounding the placement change. Additionally, we now offer the capability to keep a child within the "In Care" tab, regardless of their placement location. For instance, a child can be marked as "In Care" even while they are at a hospital. Lastly, we have enhanced the interface to provide a clearer and more intuitive way of recording these additional details.

By implementing these changes, we aim to improve the tracking and analysis of outcomes, enabling you to better support the children in your care.

Time to Approval Report Updates & More!

We have released exciting updates to the Time to Approval report and the applicant sign-up process. We have also added the ability to change approval dates. You can see all of these changes live in the product. As always, if you have any questions about these updates, reach out to your Customer Success Manager or our friendly support team!

Time to Approval Report

We have made enhancements to the Time to Approval Report, making it easier to understand and more informative. There are now two graphs: a line graph and scatter graph. This makes visualizing your data easier. You can also download a CSV of your data which contains details of the time to approval by application ID.

Collect Address During Sign-Up

During the self sign-up process, we now ask applicants to provide an address of residence. This is particularly helpful for agencies that assign families based on location. It also saves time by auto-filling the address field in all applicant documents.

Change Application Status Date

Sometimes an incorrect approval date is entered on an application. Previously, our Customer Support team needed to assist with fixing the date. Now, you can change the date easily from the Change Application Status page by clicking 'Update status date'.

Family Placement Preferences

Families can now indicate placement preferences including gender, age range, and behavioral characteristics directly via the Caregiver Portal!

Our Caregiver Management platform automates the matching process by utilizing the preferences and characteristics of children and families. Agency workers can review and override child preferences that families enter. Our goal is to get excellent and up-to-date preference data into Binti, so that workers can make informed decisions during the search process.

Check out the Binti Homepage to see family preferences which need attention and visit the Placements dashboard to view, approve, or modify preferences.

See Applicant View

We are so excited to announce that we've launched the ability to view the applicant experience as an agency worker. No more guessing where a family is in the licensing process!

Caregivers can get stuck for a number of reasons during the application process such as: confusion about a question, being unsure where to click, or missing a required field. As an agency worker, you can now see exactly what they see, allowing you to provide guidance on the next steps. This feature allows agency workers to mark supporting documents as not applicable and enter a passcode on behalf of applicants. All other parts of the applicant experience, including fillable forms, are unable to be modified.

Try it out today by navigating to the Applicant Data page for any family in Binti and selecting the "See Applicant View" button in the top right corner.

Enhanced Payments Report

We understand how critical it is to properly manage payments as a private agency. Our Payments Report saves time by reducing manual staff hours needed to calculate payments. You let us know there were a variety of reasons a payment rate may differ within a single reporting period. This includes scenarios like a modified level of care, a change in age, or new rates from public agencies.

Today, we've enhanced the ability for our report to track changes mid-report cycle. Now, when a payment rate changes, a separate line will be generated in the report. This makes it clear which days of placement should be billed at the previous rate and which should be billed at the new rate.

Check it out today by visiting the Payments Report under the Reports tab!

Email & SMS Availability Messages in Caregiver Management

Centralizing placement communications into one system allows robust tracking of outreach efforts and reduces time to placement. Knowing this, one of our first priorities was developing a outreach platform to contact caregivers via email regarding the placement of a child. Today, we're releasing a serious upgrade!

Now, when conducting outreach to caregivers about a potential placement, you can send an SMS in addition to email. Making things even better, the email and SMS are both fully customizable! All communications continue to be automatically saved in the Call Log for the caregiver.

Check it out today by visiting the View Matching Families page and selecting 'Send Availability Message' for a family.

  • We've added a search functionality for when you're looking for something specific.
  • A new date filter lets you narrow down the range of requirements you're viewing.
  • A 'Waive' button allows you to override requirements.

Try it out today by navigating to the Children/Youth Page and selecting Actions > Child Requirements for a child in care.

  • Add specific move-in/move-out dates
  • Indicate date of birth for adult household members
  • A history of household members is maintained on the Applicant Data page.
  • A new page during the Intake process collects information about Other Adults.

Check it out today when you use Intake Family or visit the Applicant Data page for a caregiver!
